The central Anatolia is also known as the Anatolian Plateau. This

ranges meet. Central Anatolia covers up 19 percent area of Turkey
and its land covers 151 square km. After the Eastern Anatolia, the
Central Anatolia is known to be the 2nd largest region of Turkey.
If you want to see beauty of mountains and plateaus then do visit
turkey and explore the Central Anatolia. The highlands here in this
region are called the heart of Turkey. Being parallel to the steppes
of Russia, starting from west to the east, the altitude of the
region varies from 600 to 1200 meters with the average of 500
meters. The plateau covers up the largest basins of the region
called the Tuz Golu and Konya Ovasi. The north east and west sides
have wooden regions where cultivation takes places in the adjoining
areas of the rivers and valleys. As the rivers courses here are
deep, therefore it gets hard to provide water to the agricultural
land but whenever water is available, the land is irrigated for
sure. This region is mostly bare therefore it is used for grazing
purposes.
