Byzantine, Hittite, Seljuk and Roman period then you must pay a
visit to the Ethography Museum and the Bolu Archeology Museum.
The Archeology Museum in Sinop contains many golden icons from the
past. For seeing more ethnographical artifacts, you can visit the
Aslan Torunlar Museum. It was constructed in the 18th century.
A historical location near Bafra called Ikiztepe has 699 graves
dating back to the Brzone age. Many archeologists are found at this
place because it explains much of the history of the Black Sea
regional.
Samsun Museum is also a place where you can find many items from the
past such as jewelry. The famous Ataturk Museum of the region is
located in Samsun. It has many objects as well as files from the
past. Archeology Museum is another museum located in Samsun. It
contains items from Amisos, Ikiztepe and Dundartepe.
Byzantine church is another historical location that contains
monuments of the jewel of Trabzon. It was used as a mosque but now
it has been converted into Ayasofya Museum. It contains many items
from the past such as frescoes and Byzantine paintings.
The wooden houses of Trabzon are also much famous. They are also
visited by many of the archeologists. Another Ataturk Museum is
found in Rize. It was first a mansion known by the name the Mehmet
Matarci Mansion. It contains many ethnographical artifacts and other
items from the past era.
