famous festivals celebrated here. The reason behind this can be the

Talking about the traditional celebrated here, the festival that
starts from the first month of the year i.e. January is the Camel
Wrestling Festival held in Selcuk. Turks from various regions
specially come to this festival and make their male camels wrestle.
Feast and dance is also included in the celebrations of the
festival.
1915 Sea Victory Celebration is a festival that is celebrated in the
month of March in Canakkale. It’s not just celebrated in this region
but in various other regions of Turkey too. Like all other regions
of Turkey, a festival that is common and celebrated in the Aegean
Region is the International Izmir Film Festival. It is held in month
of April. Various films are played and music and orchestra is also a
part of the celebration.
Another festival held in the month of April is the traditional Mesir
Festival. The festival is organized in Manisa. An interesting thing
is that this festival celebrates a gum. It is a special kind of gum
that is made by the blend of 41 spices. This gum is a pain reliever
too.
A festival that most of the tourists and visitors are interested in
attending is the Efes International Festival of Culture and Tourism
in Selcuk. It is organized in the month of May. This festival is
basically a celebration of the cultural heritage of Turkey. It is
associated with the traditions of Ephesus.
A famous festival held in Marmairs in the month of May is the
International Yachting festival. The best motor sailors and gulets
come to this festival for yachting.
The Marmaris Youth and spring festival is also celebrated in the
month of May. It also attracts people from different locations to
attendant this festival where the young generation show their talent
in front the audience. Many other cultural festivals are also
celebrated in the region which are worth seeing. Each month
different locations of the region host different festivals. There is
no specific season for the celebration of the festivals. Hence,
